Get more involved: become a Director in SD60!

The SD60 DFL needs good, committed volunteers to continue organizing the strongest DFL District in the State. We currently have three director positions open, providing opportunities for personal growth, meeting like-minded neighbors, and making a difference.

Director of Issues and Programs: Shall facilitate local and national issue awareness in SD60 from a democratic perspective; provide a platform from which candidates and representatives can communicate key democratic positions; provide forum for SD60 residents to explore and discuss issues with each other and domain experts.

Director of Campaign Coordination: Shall organize the coordinated campaign effort in the Senate District, including coordinating between the volunteer gathering arm of SD60 (precinct coordinators/GOTV/issues and programs) and our legislative delegation (local and state-level) such that our delegation gets the support that they need from the district in the most effective way.

Director of GOTV Efforts: Shall coordinate the GOTV effort in the Senate District; work with District leadership and others to increase voter participation in SD60; as deemed priority by the District, work with campaigns outside District to increase voter participation in other, lower DFL turnout areas.

Time commitment: Ranges from 4 – 12 hours/month, depending on election cycle and scheduled events. SD60 DFL central committee members meet the third Wednesday of each month.

To apply: Please send an email message to Joel Bergstrom, SD60 DFL chair, with our contact form outlining your interest and abilities in the director areas.

Deadline to apply: February 11, 2009
